Final Exam

Part 1.

Lexus

The Lexus logo was develpoed by Molly designers and Hunter communications. The final design for the Lexus logo featured a stylized L with an oval around the L. The first Lexus name and logo appeared at the Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York auto shows in 1988.
I really think that Lexus is a cool design. It has its own design which I really like. I like how the "L" is in the oval. The Oval is the first thing that cathes my eye when I look at the logo. I like how it has the "L" in the oval and then Lexus written out. I wouldn't like it has much if the "L" was in the oval and then that "L" was supposed to be the beginning of the Logo like if it went the oval with the L in it and than exus like it was spelling the word with the L in the oval. I like how its just plain silver and no other colors are in the Logo. I also like how it looks shiny and like it would reflect off of anything. I can always tell from a distance a Lexus I know the Logo very well and It is actually a car that I would love.

Honda
In one of the websites I read it says " Honda calls the Logo stylish and distinctive". I think that the logo is very disticnctive I think its a great design that everyone can point out any where you go. If the logo was on a billaboard but didnt say Honda underneath it wouldnt matter because the logo is very well known. While looking at some websites I see that they add different colors into their logos, but always keep the H which totally works for Honda because it is such a distict logo.

B M W
In a website about B M W it talked about the circular blue and White B M W logo or they called it the roundel which is often alleged to portray the movement of an airplane propeller. I think that is so cool. I have never thought about the B M W logo like that. I really like this logo because of the color in it. I like the shade of blue I really dont think another shade would have worked as well. I also like how the blue touches in the logo and the white touches. This design is my favorite because of how classy it looks.

Part 2
Cognitive
The first picture with the bird in the tree made me think maybe the tree was dying because it is black or it has been burnt down, but then the sun is out the bird is healthy and it looks like a nice day. It also makes me think maybe it was just winter and the tree is going to start to grow its leaves back soon.
Psychomotor-
I think that this picture is trying to show that the tree looks depressing, but that the bird looks happy and the sun is out, so it doesnt make it too depressing unless you look at the tree and it looks like it could by dying or something bad happend to it.
Affective consequences-
The affects I get from this picture are from the tree the branches arent on it so it makes me feel a little sad and the ground is all black, but I do like that once you start looking up the picture starts to look more happy with the sun out and the blue sky.
2nd picture
Cognitive-This picture would be much different if the man was turned around and you could see his face. I think right now it already looks like suicide, but If we could see the reaction on the guys face that would be much different.
Psychomotor-
I think this picture is trying to get a point across of commiting suicide I think its interesting that the finger is pointing where the bullet comes out of the gun. Its another thing that his finger is on the trigger.
Affective Consequences- The affects I get from this picture are from the gun pointing at the guys head and he is holding the trigger ready to shoot it. Once my mind looked at the cursor hand thing I felt a little bit of relief maybe because it wasn't as real to me then.
3rd Picture
Cognitive-
I think this picture as a whole has a lot of similarity to see picture the font is one thing with it. Each letter in the fonts starts with a red letter. Each picture starts with the image in the middle.
Psychomotor-
When I really look at these pictures I get a sence of calmness like with the pineapple and the blue one with the rocks or whatever that is. But when I look at the foot print it remindes me of a crime or something and then when I look down at the item that is packaged labeled Battle that looks like an eyeball I kind of get a little tensed.
Affective Consquences-
When I read the words it seems to help me be calm or when I read the word battle it makes think of like battle wounds and picture makes me feel the same way. When I read the word establish and look at the picture it helps me to be calm again and looking at the picture makes me feel a better as well.

Ilove the smell of all types of items especially Febreze. My family calls me the " smell freak". I was driving in my car one day and I was opening a new car freshner and I was thinking why doesn't Febreze have a car freshner? I decided to write them and tell them my idea, and now I have decided to create my own car freshner for Febreze.

My own Font

When I created my own font I was in Arizona with the tennis team. I had some help with coming up with a design for the font. I decided that with some of the letters I would put some of me into them. Like on the H I did a palm tree on the top because Im going to Hawaii with the team and on the T's I drew tennis balls in between. This font is totally me and I enjoyed doing it. With all of the letters and numbers I put dots with them, so every letter had something in common.

This design immediately caught my eye because I just turned 21 and I love the movie 21. When I first looked at the design I looked at the center of the page where the writing is. The writing is perfectly lined up. After reading the card I then looked at the dice, the cards, and the chips. This design explains what a casino would have and also shows what a casino would have. The colors go perfect with the theme and all of the colors go well  with each other. I love how the cards have their own design. This design kept my attention for a long time.

Design Presentation

When I first looked at this invitation my eyes went all over the place. I couldn't fully read the writing without going on to what something else said on the invitation. It took me awhile to find the date. The fonts are all different it makes it hard for my eyes. The card also has lots of different colors. This invitation was not easy for me to read.

Law of similarity

In this picture I grouped everything together but after looking at it for a minute the squares don't fit in.

Ground Figure

I choose this picture because the white shapes and the black shapes blend in well with the back ground. It's also crazy how it looks like they are connected and the back pieces of the the shape are black and the front are white.

Law of Proximity

In this picture my eyes already groped together the circles on the left. The circles on left has the same amount of  circles on the right, but the left looks like it has many more circles because they are all grouped together.

Law of pragnanz

When I first looked at this photo I thought it had something to do with an arrow and then I realized it was just a square and triangle.

Continuity

When I first looked at this picture I looked to the left side and saw that they were all smiley faces and it's a longer line.

Law of Closure

I choose this picture because you fill in the blanks where the circle is cut out and actually see the picture as a full circle.

Position

This picture shows that some of the rock is still there from the hole that has been created. I also like how you can see the water coming up the sides of the rock. The position of the rock will probably stay like this for years.

Color

I love this picture with all the different flowers and then the green of the trees in the background and the green of the grass around the flowers. I also like how the grass and the flowers up close are out of focus.

Shadow

The shadow in the ocean is off of a glacier. I like how you can see the shadow off of one glacier but you cant see it off of the other.

Size

The big round ball makes the white satellite stand out. Without the satellite I'm not sure if you would be able to tell how big the ball really is. If you look at the big ball closely you can see how it has lines that sort of form shapes on the ball.

Highlights

I like how the sun in the clouds is making certain clouds change around it. The sun is making the highlights come out in the clouds. I also like how the clouds are different shapes. It's really neat how you can even see the reflection in the water of the different colors in the sky.

Shape

I like how this picture has so many different types of shapes. It looks like some shapes are of stairs and others are railings. The square shape also has the triangle shapes with it. I like how the window at the top sets the shape the rest of the way down.

Orientation

The black on the white really makes it stand out. When I first looked at this picture I thought the words were painted on. After staring at it I think that they are engraved and then painted. I am still not sure. The horizontal shape of the rock that the words are painted on and then the words being horizontal is why I choose this picture.

Texture

I loved the texture in this photo. When I look at this photo the leafs really stand out to me and I can just imagine what they feel like. The lines on the leafs and the edges of them almost make the leaf look fake. The center of the flower helps the flower stand out.

Get the glass!!

What a cool idea of a 3D board game that anyone can play. It really entertained me. I was surprised when class was over and I had only gotten so far. I never realized that the game was a milk advertising campaign until I read about it on the internet. I thought that the technique of being able to throw the dice was a great idea put into the game. It was a random throw every time, but I mostly rolled a three or four. It was awesome how most of the squares resulted in picking one of the three cards. The different puzzles that they had you solve in the mastermind cards were awesome. This was a great game that campaigned in the US. They wanted the US to know how important it is to drink milk daily and what could happen to your body if you don't drink milk. I have decided to stop drinking soda pop because it's tennis season, so instead I have been drinking water and lots of milk. This game has made me realize that it's very important to drink milk. What a great game!!
